Yeida Anticipates A Cluster Of Companies That Manufacture Aviation Parts.

THE YAMUNA EXPRESSWAY INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY (YEIDA) plans to build a center of enterprises that make aircraft parts as the Noida airport project gains traction. The civil aviation cluster will be built on 500 acres in the YEIDA area’s Sector 10.

Officials said YEIDA planned to assign roughly 250 plots—each measuring at least 2 acres—to enterprises that make airplane components and machinery in June. A center for aircraft maintenance, repair, and Overhaul (MRO) is also anticipated to emerge.

Officials indicated that several foreign corporations, including Boeing, GE Digital, Honeywell, and L-3 Harris, had expressed interest in the YEIDA plan.

“In Sector 10, we intend to build an aircraft hub spanning 500 acres.” Companies will create their own detailed project reports, and the scheme’s final layout can be customized to meet their needs. The plot proposal will be announced in June, according to YEIDA CEO Arun Vir Singh. He went on to say that businesses will have to submit their applications online, along with their DPRs.

According to sources, the aviation cluster project might attract up to Rs 80,000 crore investments and create over 10,000 jobs.

Only until the interested companies submit their project reports, Singh said, could the figures be worked up.

“Some of them have even held primary negotiations with us,” Singh added when asked about the international corporations that had shown interest.

Because the Noida airport is being marketed as Asia’s most enormous such facility, an MRO center has also been planned, according to the YEIDA CEO.

“We’ve started the process of acquiring 1,365 hectares for the MRO center separately.” Several companies involved in the manufacture of airplane parts have indicated an interest. “Technology, including artificial intelligence, will also play a key role here,” Singh added.
