Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has launched and laid the foundation for Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) housing and urban development projects worth nearly ₹12,000 crore. The major developments include the Varun Vihar and Naimish Nagar schemes, planned across a combined area of about 10,680 acres.
Varun Vihar is being developed near the Agra Expressway, while Naimish Nagar is planned along the Sitapur Road–IIM Road corridor. Together, the two schemes are expected to provide residential facilities for a large population as Lucknow continues to expand towards its outer areas.
The LDA has also opened registration for thousands of residential plots under the two schemes. Plot sizes range across multiple categories, giving buyers different options depending on their requirements and budget.
The projects are part of the broader effort to support Lucknow’s planned urban expansion and strengthen infrastructure around emerging residential corridors.
For property buyers, large township developments can create new opportunities, but location, road connectivity, development timelines, approvals and surrounding infrastructure should be checked carefully before purchasing.
With the Agra Expressway, Sitapur Road and other major corridors supporting Lucknow’s expansion, these projects could add another important chapter to the city's evolving real estate landscape.
