Vendors take over road, traffic comes to a crawl in Sector 108

Residents of Noida Sector 108 have raised concerns over street vendors occupying service roads and roadside areas, creating traffic congestion, sanitation problems and safety concerns in the neighbourhood. Residents have reportedly approached Noida Authority and the police seeking action against the encroachments.

According to the report, carts, roadside stalls and kiosks are being set up regularly along the service road. Residents said the encroachment has restricted traffic movement and made the area more difficult for commuters and emergency vehicles to access.

Safety has also emerged as a concern for local families. Residents pointed to a recent mobile-snatching incident near Gate No. 1 and have requested increased police patrolling in the area. They have also raised concerns about sanitation because of the growing number of vendors.

The issue highlights how neighbourhood infrastructure and civic management can affect everyday living conditions in residential sectors. For homebuyers and tenants, factors such as road access, cleanliness, safety, parking and maintenance are important considerations beyond the property itself.

Noida Sector 108 is located along an important connectivity corridor, making efficient movement and well-maintained service roads particularly relevant for residents and businesses.
