UP orders review of approved plans, funds at Jaypee Wish Town

The Uttar Pradesh government has ordered a review of construction and fund utilisation at Jaypee Wish Town, Noida, where Suraksha Group is undertaking the stalled project. The Noida Authority has been directed to constitute a five-member committee to examine whether construction is being carried out according to approved plans and whether money collected from homebuyers is being used for the intended construction work.

The committee will examine compliance with the resolution plan approved by the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), along with the project's approved detailed project report, layout and site plans. It will also check whether any additional towers, floors, dwelling units or built-up areas are being developed beyond the approved plans.

The panel has been asked to submit its report within one month. The review follows a homebuyer's complaint regarding alleged irregularities in the project's construction and development.

The development comes shortly after Suraksha Group announced progress on Jaypee Wish Town. The company said 84 of the 159 stalled towers had been completed and that it aims to complete 20,000 homes by March 2028.
