Overflowing sewers, overgrown grass, broken roads: What ails Indirapuram, Vaishali

Residents of Vaishali and Indirapuram in Ghaziabad are facing a range of civic and infrastructure problems, including overflowing sewers, sanitation issues, broken roads and encroachment. Residents of Vaishali F Block have particularly raised concerns about sewage overflow around the neighbourhood.

According to the report, overflowing sewer water has collected around plants and roads in Vaishali F Block, creating foul smells and concerns about sanitation. Residents have also reported infrastructure problems in nearby Indirapuram, including loose earth, dust and overflowing drains in Vaibhav Khand.

The president of the local residents' welfare association said an estimated 10,000 residents are affected by inadequate infrastructure and sanitation issues, particularly around the Ramlila Ground area. Residents have reportedly approached the municipal corporation several times but say the problems remain unresolved.

The situation highlights the importance of civic infrastructure in established residential locations.
