Noida is preparing for a major expansion as approximately 90% of its existing area has been developed. According to a report published by The Times of India on 14 October 2026, the Noida Authority is planning to develop New Noida across approximately 20,000 hectares to meet rising industrial demand and support future urban growth.
The proposed expansion is expected to create new opportunities for industrial development, commercial activities and employment. Officials have indicated a target of generating around 5–6 lakh direct and indirect jobs by 2030. Land acquisition is planned in phases, while the state government is also considering additional Floor Area Ratio (FAR) provisions to support development within existing Noida.
Connectivity is another important part of the plan. Proposed metro corridors could improve links between Botanical Garden, Gaur City through Char Murti and the Boraki multimodal transport hub. These would complement existing road networks, including the Noida–Greater Noida Expressway, Yamuna Expressway, DND Flyway and Eastern Peripheral Expressway.
However, the development will take time, and proposed infrastructure should not be treated as completed. Homebuyers and investors should verify land ownership, approved layouts, project registration and infrastructure timelines before making property decisions.
