The Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) has approved the Phase-I layout of the Harnandipuram Township near Raj Nagar Extension, marking an important step in the planned expansion of Ghaziabad's residential landscape. The approval was announced on September 26, 2026.
The larger Harnandipuram township is planned across approximately 501 hectares and covers land across eight villages, including Mathurapur, Shamsher, Champat Nagar, Bhaneda Khurd, Nagla Firoz Mohanpur, Bhovapur, Shahpur Nij Morta and Morta. Phase I will cover about 49.62 hectares.
The development is significant because planned townships can bring together residential areas and supporting infrastructure within a structured urban framework. Its location near Raj Nagar Extension also places it within Ghaziabad's expanding residential belt.
The approval comes as Ghaziabad continues to attract attention from homebuyers and developers because of its connectivity to the wider NCR. The city's evolving infrastructure and expanding residential zones are contributing to its growing role in the NCR property market.
