The long-awaited Greater Noida West Metro project is expected to receive a major push, with Union Cabinet approval likely this month. The proposed 8.4-km elevated corridor will connect Noida Sector 51 with Greater Noida West Sector 4 near Gaur Chowk. The project is estimated to cost around ₹2,000 crore and is expected to benefit nearly five lakh residents.
The corridor will have five stations, with proposed stops across Noida Sectors 61, 70, 122 and 123 before reaching Greater Noida West. Once approved, the project can move towards tendering and construction.
For the Greater Noida West property market, this is an important development. Direct metro connectivity has been a long-standing demand among residents, particularly as the area continues to witness residential growth. Better public transport could improve daily commuting and make the locality more attractive to homebuyers and investors.
However, buyers should differentiate between a proposed or approved infrastructure project and an operational Metro line. Construction timelines and actual connectivity benefits will depend on execution.
The expected Cabinet approval is nevertheless a positive signal for Greater Noida West real estate, especially for a region where connectivity remains one of the key factors influencing property demand.
