In what may prompt another real estate boom in the property market of Gurgaon and Faridabad, the government of Haryana is going to connect the two cities of NCR with a metro rail link. The 34.12 km long metro rail line will directly connect these two cities and is going to have 12 stations – 6 each in both cities.
And it will not be a one-off standalone metro route as it will meet the DMRC Violet line at Bata Chowk and Gurugram Rapid Metro line at Sector 56 station connecting it seamlessly and wholesomely to Delhi.
The upcoming line will open up new avenues for people of Delhi looking to set up shops and offices closer to home rather than going as far as Sohna Road – a premium but far-off location. And like it always happens, a commercial boom is often followed by a residential boom and we might witness the same in the coming months. So people looking for jackpot investment opportunities can find this news really valuable. One quick move and you can really make a killing!
The metro rail project will definitely gratify the residents who have been demanding metro connectivity between these cities for years. People know that with transport infrastructure like this, they can enjoy enhanced connectivity, economic opportunities, and overall growth; all this while getting rid of excess pollution and traffic jams. For the government, it will help in getting revenues and fetching votes.
The new Faridabad – Gurgaon metro line will be an extension of the Violet Line of Delhi Metro which will start from Bata Chowk in Faridabad and move westwards towards Gurugram through stations at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Marg, Piyali Chowk, Pali Chowk, Police Chowki Mangar, Barkhal Enclave, Sector-56, Gwal Pahari, Sushant Lok, Sushant Lok-Phase III, Rosewood City, and finally concluding at Vatika Chowk in Gurugram. The last 6 stations starting from Sector-56 are located in Gurugram while the rest 6 are in Faridabad.
People commuting to Gurugram via the yellow line can access the new metro line from Sector-56 station present at the Gurugram Rapid Metro line.
Despite the Haryana state government’s approval for the venture, the project and its details are subject to change until the DPR is finalized and sanctioned. For people unaware, DPR stands for Detailed Project Report.
DPR is an extensive report that acts as a blueprint for planning, designing, executing, and operationalizing the project. It outlines the overall program, roles, and responsibilities of various stakeholders, execution, and resources necessary for the project.
The project will be headed by the nodal agency GMDA (Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority) while the construction work is supposed to be done by HMRTC (Haryana Mass Rapid Transport Corporation) Limited.
Once operational, the Faridabad – Gurgaon metro line will convert the region into a hub of economic growth and overall development.
