Over 25,000 flats in Noida to get dual power connection by March

Almost around 25,000 flats in 17 under-construction projects in Greater Noida are set to get a dual meter connection on the completion of these projects. Some of the societies have already received permits from the Electricity Provider Noida Power Company Limited (NPCL), which is authorized to provide electricity in Greater Noida. With the implementation of this scheme, the consumers will get a dual power connection of 5W to 10 KW each.

Under this dual power system, the diesel generators of the society will be connected directly to the second part of the meter and the charges for the same will be paid to the Residents Welfare Association. Moreover, the consumer will be liable to choose the load capacity as per their requirement and the demand from the builder as well.

After these electricity connections, people residing in the selected projects will not have to pay a high price for the electricity bills. This move by NPCL is expected to benefit the end-users as they can easily recover the cost of the meter in the long run by paying less than what they would have otherwise paid to the builder.
